NON-PROFIT CHOSEN: THE HUB YOUTH CENTRAL

The HUB Youth Central

The HUB Youth Central is a youth development center in Langley, dedicated to feeding and serving rural and disadvantaged youth with a consistent afternoon program throughout the year. The HUB was founded over 30 years ago and is fully supported by the community, through donations, grants and fundraisers. During the COVID crisis when the center was shut down, The HUB provided meals weekly to the neediest of The HUB families, a true support to those families in our community that live in extreme poverty.

Whidbey Island Fair

The Fair started back in the early 1900’s and has been providing fun for all ages ever since. Each year, the Fair brings the community together to with agricultural education, live music and entertainment, and of course, yummy Fair food! The Fair has provided a place for 4H, farmers, bakers, loggers, and many more to showcase their talents! 2020 was very hard for us, as we count on the earnings we bring in to plan the next Fair. That said, we are excited to plan for 2021 and will do the best we can with what we have--which isn’t much. We have been given the go ahead to move forward at a limited capacity and will honor all guidelines for safety. Please join us for the 2021 Fair!
